Churchill Island

Churchill Island

Churchill Island is only 57 hectares in size and it’s an historic working farm that boasts significant natural and cultural values with world-class wetlands, ancient Moonah trees, heritage gardens and historic buildings. Visitors can explore the island on the various walking and cycling trails that range in distance from 1km up to 4.5km.

The Visitor Centre features an exhibition on the history of the island, quality gift shop and licensed café. Enjoy lunch with a glass of wine while taking in the views of Western Port.

Having already hosted smaller festivals, family fun days, a farmer’s market and a gala dinner for more than 200 diners, Churchill Island became known as a festival heartland when the Ocean Sounds Music Festival had its first incarnation in January 2019. Aside from the festival’s stellar musical line-up, Ocean
Sounds also showcased local wines and cheeses and gourmet food vans.

Churchill Island is a superb venue for public events, music festivals and corporate and private functions.
